Illustrative example. This capability is on our roadmap and is not wired to a live demo yet — request early access.

What it is

Automatic descriptions of the images, figures, charts, and diagrams inside a document — so the visual content a RAG system normally loses becomes searchable text.

Why it matters

Extraction usually grabs only the text around a figure, so the chart or diagram — often where the real information lives — is invisible to downstream AI.

What Xberg does

Xberg uses a vision model to generate descriptions of images, figures, and charts within a document, recovering the part that was previously invisible.

  • Descriptions for images, figures, charts, and diagrams.
  • Makes visual content searchable and retrievable.
  • Recovers information that RAG pipelines normally drop.
  • Depends on a hosted vision model.
On the roadmap. The captioning capability exists but isn't exposed through the public API yet (and depends on a hosted vision model), so the example here is illustrative. Talk to us about early access.
